A Calling to Women’s Health
Wendy’s passion for women’s health stems from personal experiences and a lifelong desire to care for others. After losing her aunt to a suspected women’s health-related cancer, Wendy resolved to make a difference in the lives of women by ensuring they have access to resources, education, and compassionate care.
“I truly believe that knowledge is power, and sharing my years of experience with the women who need it most is the best feeling in the world,” Wendy shared.
A Joyful Approach to Patient Care
Wendy finds immense joy in empowering her patients through education. Her approach is rooted in compassion, ensuring that every patient feels heard, understood, and involved in their care.
“It brings me so much satisfaction to hear my patients say, ‘No one has ever explained that to me,’ or ‘Thank you for helping me understand what is going on.’”
Beyond the Clinic
Born in California and raised in a small town in New Mexico, Wendy values the sense of community that Cheyenne OBGYN offers. When she’s not caring for patients, Wendy loves spending time with her rescue pups, Sammie and Charlie, or visiting her family in Texas, including her baby nephew. She also enjoys reading, binge-watching Netflix shows, exploring new places, and trying different cuisines as a self-proclaimed foodie.
Excited to Serve the Women of Cheyenne
Wendy is eager to contribute to the mission of Cheyenne OBGYN: providing compassionate and comprehensive care to the women in our community.
“I’m excited to be part of a clinic that feels like a home away from home. I’m grateful for the opportunity to serve the women of Cheyenne with compassion and respect.”
We are delighted to have Wendy Avalos join our team and look forward to the positive impact she will make on our patients’ lives. Please join us in giving her a warm welcome!
